Wow I was really inspired to get some symbols into this drawing;; I don't know why, but I believe all these antique legends and stories are automatically linked to some kind of symbols and their deeper meaning. // awkwardly points to the background-//HIT

other than that, the background style was heavily influenced by czech art nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha. I just simply LOVE his paintings and literally EVERYTHING about his works. my dad even got me a big calendar with his best works and I'm literally staring at it all day long and drooling over how elegant and perfect all of his paintings are---

Ansel as Erebos and Aceline as Hedone. I don't think there is any direct link between those two gods in the old legends, BUT HELL IN MY HEAD THERE IS ;;; Also, only in Mello's headcanon Ansel is a peaceful, perfectly serene guy -- *COUGH COUGH*
